The Honeywell CF112 Micro-Defense 1" Air Filter is rated at MERV 12. It allows your furnace to deliver air more easily to your home while still doing a superior job cleaning the air.

Industry standard test data indicates this electrostatically charged filter is more efficient at removing large allergens (including pollen, household dust, airborne dust mite debris, mold spores, common allergens, and carpet fibers) from the air passing through the filter than any other in its class.

The CF112 filter captures up to 95% of microscopic allergens such as mold spores, pollen, dust, smoke, and pet dander.

What does the rating mean?
MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rates an air filter's effectiveness. The higher the MERV rating, the more air particles a filter captures. A MERV of 9 - 12 is considered a "Superior" rating for residential use.

MERV ratings are based on the ASHRAE 52.2 test designed by the National Air Filtration Association.
